As recipients of the Art & Art History Diversity Fellowship, my fellow MFA students and I partnered with the Tarrant County Coalition for Peace and Justice on a powerful community project. Together, we designed promotional materials for “Say His Name, Fort Worth: Mr. Fred Rouse”—a series of events that honored the life and legacy of Fred Rouse, who was tragically lynched in Fort Worth over a century ago.
Our creative contributions included a commemorative poster and a range of visual materials that helped raise awareness and foster community reflection during the week-long remembrance.
